Lučební závody a.s. Kolín is purely Czech traditional chemical company situated in Kolín. The town Kolín is located in the central Czech Republic a hundred kilometers on the east from Czech capital Prague.
The history of company goes back for more than 150 years. It was founded in 1871 by local landowners to manufacture artificial fertilizers. During years the production program gradually expanded to other regions of chemical industry.
Nowadays, the production portfolio consits of two main groups of key products - products of silicone chemistry and organometallic reducing agents. Products of silicone chemistry are intended for industrial and construction applications.
Silicone hydrophobization agents (Lukofob®), defoamers and antifoaming agents (Lukosan®), silicone resins for paints (Lukosil®), lubricants (Lukosan M®, Lukosiol®), silicone rubbers and sealants (Lukopren®) belong to this group. The most significant product from the group of organometallic reducing agents is Synhydrid®.
